Frequently Asked Questions

How accurate is my due date?

Only about 5% of babies are born on their exact due date. Most arrive within 2 weeks before or after. First trimester ultrasound dating is most accurate (±5-7 days).

What if I don't know my last period date?

If you're unsure of your LMP, a first-trimester ultrasound provides the most accurate dating. You can also estimate based on conception date (if known) or fertility treatments.

What counts as full-term pregnancy?

Previously 37-42 weeks, but now categorized as: Early term (37-38 weeks), Full term (39-40 weeks), Late term (41 weeks), Postterm (42+ weeks).
